What we love

Butterwalk is the kind of shop you wander into and immediately want to linger in. Flooded with natural light and beautifully spacious, every corner has been thoughtfully curated, from timeless clothing to objects you never knew you needed. There’s a calm, peaceful atmosphere that makes browsing feel effortless, and it’s clear the owners have a real eye for design. The kind of place where you go in for a look and leave wishing you could take a little bit of everything home.

Meet The Owner

Originally from the Netherlands, Suzanne now lives in beautiful Devon, nestled among rolling hills with her husband and three children. Creativity runs in Suzanne’s family – one grandmother was an artist potter, the other an amateur seamstress and painter. Suzanne was educated in the Steiner tradition, which deeply nurtured her love for handwork and wholesome lifestyle. She later became a Steiner class teacher herself. After having her own children, she began sewing clothing and making toys for her family, bringing together her practical skills and artistic passion.
