About Parched

Parched is a laid-back, independent bar in the heart of Newbury.

We're all about sourcing the best quality craft beer we can get our mitts on. Our draught lines are always rotating with bevs from independent breweries to bring something new and different to the party.

We do love a cheeky cocktail, so you can expect to find a range from classics (think espresso martinis & negronis) to something a little more... unique (think pickle-ritas & brown butter and marmite old fashioneds).

Our service might be mediocre at best, but the beers are cold, the tunes are chill and the couches are comfortable enough for your dog to sleep on.

What they're into

craft beer, cocktails, dogs, pickles, potatoes (in every and all formats)

Meet The Owner

We're Colin, Katie and Dave the dog, formerly of The Globe in Newbury. We left our last pub to create a fully independent bar from scratch. We dragged Blake and Emil along for the ride to help us build a place that reflects who we are - a bit weird, dog friendly, human tolerant and probably (definitely) childish.

Parched Highlights

We're big advocates on try before you buy, so grab a sample of any of our draught beers (in tiny beer tankards) before you fully commit.
