The Merchant’s Table is an online shop and showroom that celebrates craft objects made in the modern British tradition. All of our pieces are made by independent makers and artists. We source work that tells a story. These are objects that reflect the places they were made and the heritage of past craftspeople. Our artists acknowledge this past and go on to design and create for today. By shopping at the Merchant’s Table you are helping to promote and support British Heritage Crafts and artists using techniques within the Heritage Crafts’ Red List of Endangered Crafts. Meet The Owner
Behind the Merchant’s Table is Susanna Cook, Founder & Creative Director of Allies Design. A studio that works with a roster of visionary food clients. The through line between the Merchant’s Table and Allies Design Studio is an ongoing interest in food and a mutual commitment to working only with independent makers.
