About Cotton & Leaf
Cotton & Leaf was started by Laura in 2021, after she discovered a love and talent for Macrame. In those early days she crafted many projects but her love of houseplants kept on bringing her back to making plant hangers. Her father, David, (a talented wood worker) was soon involved making shelves for Laura to weave cords through and Rosemary (Mum) became heavily involved as they began to sell her plant hangers and shelves alongside an array of houseplants at the many fairs and markets on the Isle of Wight where they live.
Their shop on Shooters Hill in Cowes opened in October 2023, after it became clear that there was a desire for a dedicated houseplant shop on the island. The shop houses their range of plant hangers, plant shelves and propagation units plus a large selection of houseplants all cared for by their expert knowledge. They also stock a large variety of pots and houseplant care items.
"We know our stuff when it comes to keeping our leafy friends happy, and our passion for plants means all our plants are expertly looked after and we are keen to share this knowledge with as many people as possible."
Laura manages the shop and website sales, whilst also designing and making all the products in the handmade range. David (Dad), does all the woodwork, and Rosemary (Mum) lends her expertise in running the shop and crafting terrariums.
