About Little Martha Brewing

We’re a brewpub based in St Philips, Bristol, brewing and serving our own range of beers in our cosy railway arch pub.

Little Martha Brewing was started in 2020 by three friends – Ed, George and Pelin, and we first opened the doors to our brewpub in December 2021. We’d shared a dream for a long time of having our own venue, and finding the railway arch that is now our home was the lightbulb moment that set us on the road to open Little Martha. We aimed to turn the arch into a cosy, welcoming space for anyone to come in and enjoy good drinks and good company.

We focus on brewing the beers we really want to drink! Often inspired by the old school West Coast styles, we brew a range of different beers, always aiming to be full of flavour and refreshment, keeping our beers smooth and sessionable. At the brewpub we serve our own beers plus an ever-changing selection of our favourite guests from near and far.

On July 2 1959, Marfusha, or ‘Little Martha’ became the first rabbit in space. Along with her companions Otvazhnaya (Brave) and Snezhinka (Snowflake), Little Martha was launched into a suborbital trip on a Soviet R2-A rocket before returning safely to Earth. Fast forward to 2021 and she became the inspiration for our brewery name and brand!
