We are Nick and Alex. After years of obsessing about homewares, we decided to take the plunge and make this our life full time. The disruption of lockdown made us look inward and re-assess what made us and our loved ones happy. We put our careers on halt to take the time to completely

re-focus.

So, we opened the doors of our store in Brighton in October 2021 with a very clear purpose in mind - to offer a considered and curated collection of modern homewares with a twist. We source products to add to your life, whether this be through form or function, but all with a true purpose.

We primarily source from independent studios across Europe and Japan, seeking ethically responsible practices throughout. We find products with timeless modernity and shy away from temporary trends. Products that will stay with you forever. We like our products to have a backstory. Products with provenance.

And this is why we’re &halt… a subconscious reminder to pause and reflect.
