About Appleton's
Appleton's is a Restaurant and Bar by Andy and Lyndsey Appleton in Fowey, Cornwall.
The restaurant was first established in 2016 within an operational vineyard and winery on the way to Padstow, Cornwall. However it closed in this location at the end of October 2019 and relocated to an exciting new venue right in the heart of Fowey, opened there 1st March 2020!
Meet The Owner
Andy is a self taught chef, learning most of his skills from many amazing chefs he has had the pleasure to work with through out his career, and gaining most of his passion from travelling the world (Italy particularly). Most recently, Andy's CV has him as the former Head Chef of Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall, in that position for 9 years, and before that at the flagship restaurant Fifteen London. During his time at Fifteen Cornwall he designed menus and food concepts that satisfied the hunger of over 3/4 of a million guests. Alongside overseeing the award winning restaurant he also oversaw the apprentice chef training programme that had, to date, graduated 101 young chefs through the programme into the industry. Andy left Fifteen in February 2016 to start ‘Appleton’s at the Vineyard’, a huge leap of faith and his first venture on his own. Fast forward to today and having leapt again, this time into a new, bigger and more exciting restaurant which is all his!
