About La Ferme Ostalapia

Between the sea and the mountains, the Ostalapia Farm stands in a picturesque setting
Along an old Saint James Way pilgrimage route, in the middle of the countryside less than 2 ½ miles from the beaches in Saint-Jean-de-Luz, the bed & breakfast has a fantastic panoramic view of the Basque mountains and the highest point, the Rhune. Do you play golf? There are no less than seven golf courses within a nine-mile radius. Immerse yourself in Spanish culture when you cross the border just twenty minutes away.

he Ostalapia Farm serves authentic and hearty cuisine. Each dish served, from starter to dessert, is made with fresh, seasonal Basque produce to tantalize your taste buds. How could you not melt once you taste their famous Basque pork cheeks which have been slowly simmered in red wine from Irouleguy? The restaurant uses a local food network and highlights regional dishes.

You’ll be swept away by the simple charm of this former 17th century farmhouse with wooden beams and stone walls. The sheepfold, pigpen and henhouse have been rehabilitated and transformed into restaurant rooms. The main room has a magnificent open fireplace and is decorated with paintings by local artists, while the terrace has a breathtaking view of the Rhune mountain (a major landmark in the Basque Country), and the family’s vineyards.
